The Weight Of The World

I am thinking that all of you have seen a picture of the statue, Atlas. Atlas is a Greek god who is holding up a celestial sphere. Most of the modern depictions of Atlas have him holding up the world on his shoulder. It signifies having the weight of the world on your shoulders. The burdens we carry around in our hearts and in our minds makes us feel like Atlas. Every once in a while, the problems become so surmountable that the weight of the world comes crashing down upon us. It's normal to become so stressed that we have no idea where to turn or where to even begin. However, once and a great while, something happens to where life starts to take a whole new meaning. A moment that can change your entire outlook on the future. The weight of the world has been lifted off your shoulders and you feel like a different person entirely. I have felt that I carried around a monkey on my back for the last two years. Something, I felt couldn't let me move on with my life. Last Night that all changed. I felt free from a prison of my own emotions. Emotions that have tortured my soul for the past two years. I can honestly having the weight of the world removed your shoulders is like getting up Christmas morning as a kid. Happiness and change is just around the corner. Just before you feel like that weight is going to crush you, you will have someone or something there to take just a little bit off your shoulders at a  time.
